Born into the illustrious Tata family, Ratan Tata's journey began after earning a degree in architecture from Cornell University. In 1962, he joined the conglomerate founded by his great-grandfather, and through strategic acumen and bold decision-making, he revitalized various Tata companies, including Tata Motors and Tata Steel.

 His tenure coincided with India's economic reforms, where he played a pivotal role in steering the conglomerate through a period of unprecedented growth.

Under his stewardship, Tata Group expanded internationally with landmark acquisitions such as Tetley and Corus, marking significant milestones in India's corporate history.

 Notably, Tata Motors' acquisition of Jaguar Land Rover from Ford in 2008 underscored his vision to elevate Indian companies onto the global stage.

Beyond business, Ratan Tata was admired for his humility, modest lifestyle, and deep commitment to philanthropy. His notable contributions include founding Tata Teleservices and guiding Tata Consultancy Services to become a global IT leader.
